Las Vegas Goes 3D

Las Vegas visitors exchanged their beer goggles for 3D glasses at our Town Square Rave Theatre so that they could watch the Fox News broadcast of the Fed Ex BCS Title Game on January 8.  3D is coming of age and people appear to be flocking to its appeal.  Locals and guests were treated to a spectacular view of the championship event between the University of Florida Gators and the University of Oklahoma Sooners.  Only 81 locations in the nation offered the bowl game in 3D including Boston and New York.

And this isn’t the first time Las Vegas hosted a 3D sporting event.  Special viewing parties also took place during the 2007 NBA finals and, due to their success, the NBA has announced plans to hold an HD 3D simulcast of the NBA All-Star basketball game on February 14.
