Suzan Minoret, 56, who goes by the name Susan Lewis, believing recent DNA tests that prove she is the daughter of iconic comedy legend Jerry Lewis is planning her first trip to Las Vegas on April 25 to appear at the Earth Day Indoor Environment Celebration at JW Marriott’s in Summerlin. The event benefits children’s indoor health environment education programs in Nevada.
Though it’s the Philadelphia woman’s first trip to Las Vegas, Jerry Lewis has called Las Vegas home for decades.
Lewis’ son, musician Gary Lewis recently submitted to DNA tests and results indicated an 88.7 percent probability that the woman is related to Gary Lewis.
Gary Lewis, the first born son of entertainer Jerry Lewis, has appeared on national television, radio, and in the press to announce what he already knew long before any DNA test; Suzan Lewis is his biological half sister, sharing the same father.
On April 25, 2009. Suzan Lewis will entertain and address the attendees of the Earth Day 2009 fund raiser being sponsored by the National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada. This nonprofit organization helps to uncover the dangers of certain unsafe chemicals used in industry and in the home.
While in Las Vegas, Ms. Lewis will spend several hours serving meals at local homeless shelters and visiting with the homeless and disabled people in those facilities. Ms. Lewis is disabled and was homeless on a few occasions. She hopes her visits with these people will help them to realize that they are not forgotten.
