Danny Gans, 52, a leading Las Vegas headliner since 1966, both at The Mirage for 8 ½ years and most recently performing at Steve Wynn’s Encore hotel, died unexpectedly early last Friday in his Las Vegas home. (May 2 Las Vegas Backstage Access article.)
Now it has been learned that two days before his death he completed his autobiography that was in the works for about a year. The manuscript, according to this his manager, Chip Lightman, is now being edited and a meeting with the publisher today.
Gans also had a music video in the works with Hollywood director Brett Ratner, performing “What a Wonderful World” in 10 voices. It is planned to be a part of a CD that’s being released in a month by Hi-Fi Records.
