Sammy Hagar will open a new Cabo Wabo Cantina on the Las Vegas Strip this fall. Planet Hollywood Casino & Hotel will be the new home for the Red Rocker’s famous Cantina, replacing Trader Vic’s in the Miracle Mile shops. 
Hagar plans to bring a 15,000 square foot, split-level bar, nightclub and restaurant combination, uniquely styled after the original located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Just as his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo helped transform the city from a tired, Mexican desert town to the most popular tourist attraction in Mexico, Hagar hopes to bring the same hard-rocking, laid-back style to this new Las Vegas venue.
Cabo Wabo will feature a coastal Mexican menu along side live music in an ‘all-day, all-night party’ that promises it won’t break your wallet. The spirit menu will be centered around Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Tequila, with ‘Caboritas’ and ‘Cabo Bombas’ as far as the eye can see. Contemporarily-enlightened Mexican seafood dishes will highlight the dining menu including lobster burritos and shrimp enchiladas.
“I am ecstatic to finally introduce Las Vegas to the Cabo Wabo lifestyle,” says Cabo Wabo founder Sammy Hagar. “The cantina’s fun-loving, fiesta atmosphere will bring a rock and roll vibe to the heart of the Strip like people have never seen before. We are going to rock the Vegas Strip!” Look for Sammy’s new band Chickenfoot, with Michael Anthony from Van Halen, hanging out and regular jamming in the venue.
