Gina Carano, the Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts fighter lost her first women’s MMA championship bout a week ago Saturday in San Jose. 
But, judging from her talents, she’s definitely not out for the count.
As previously reported by Las Vegas Backstage Access, her opponent was Christiane “Cyborg” Santos, who scored a mechanical TKO middleweight victory with a second left in the opening round.
It was Carano’s first defeat in eight fights.
