Celebrity Shenanigans in Las Vegas

Lindsay Lohan is apparently back to her vintage shenanigan ways again, this time heading to Milan for fashion week when she had previously committed to hosting a club night Saturday at Las Vegas hotspot Pure nightclub.

The thrill-a-minute ditzy Lohan abruptly canceled her appearance at the club on the day of Saturday’s planned event, with no explanation to anyone, and was later spotted and photographed in Milan. 

Though Lohan may have stealthily skipped out from her Las nightclub engagement, still Sin City got a double dose of star-power on Saturday night when Mariah Carey and Ciara appeared at Haze Nightclub. Mariah was presented with a huge tiered cake after wrapping her Angels Advocate  tour at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, while Ciara hosted the evening at the ARIA Hotel & Casino hotspot at CityCenter, singing along to her hits “Goodies” and “Oh.”

Las Vegas red carpets center stage this weekend

Red carpet A-lister celebrity types of events in Las Vegas have largely been on the wane, what with the drastic downturn in the economy and the policy of many venues to have celebrities pay their way. This weekend shows an inkling of an exception to that rule.  

Kim Kardashian promotes her perfume by walking on the red carpet at 10 p.m. Saturday at the Venetian’s club Tao. 

Controversial Lindsay Lohan will pick up her much needed check for strutting her stuff Saturday on the Pure nightclub red carpet in Caesars at 11:30 p.m.  And, if you believe the Sun of London, she’s now free of drugs and alchol, saying, “I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances…Now I’m in a place where I don’t need to use anything.”  This of course begs the question why in the hell would she want to show up clubbing at a venue where strong drinking is the rule.  And if her on-again, off-again flame Samantha Ronson will sneak in, is anybody’s guess. 

Mariah Carey will air out her pipes earlier on Saturday at the Colosseum.  Undoubtedly, she will be seen lurking in the many nook and cranny shadows of Las Vegas later in the evening. 

At 5:30 p.m. on Saturday their will be a red carpet fundraiser at the Bellagio for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Helath, promising to showcase Danny DeVito, Buzz Aldrin, Brad Garrett, Leeza Gibbons, Wolfgang Puck and Thomas Keller.

 Iyaz sings “Replay” after an 11:30 p.m. red carpet Saturday at the Bellagio club Bank. 

“American Idol” guy Larry Platt appears after midnight tonight at Mirage club Jet.

Ciara gets her carpet call after midnight Saturday at CityCenter club Haze.

 If you enjoy gawking sports stars, Pierre Thomas and Lance Moore of the Super Bowl winning New Orleans Saints will be paid to appear on the red carpet at 11 p.m. this evening at Palazzo’s club Lavo. 

If all this NASCAR weekend and red carpet stuff is just too much for you, please check out the fuzz-guitar weirdo-rock of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday at Wasted Space at the Hard Rock.  Oh, and bring $20 to get in.

“Burglar of the Stars” Awaits Criminal Charges?

As reported by Las Vegas Backstage Access on Oct. 29, 19-year-old Rachel Lee was nabbed in northwest Las Vegas for allegedly burglarizing the Hollywood Hills homes of celebrities including Audrina Partridge, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom and the Hilton family. 

Few facts are immerging on the case, but search warrant records obtained last Friday in Las Vegas show that police seized photos of Paris Hilton, designer jeans, computers, a Korean passport and 204 $100 bills when they arrested her on Oct. 22. 

Curiously, no charges have been filed- yet?

“Burglar of the Stars” Nabbed in Las Vegas

Rachel Lee, pictured on far right, the woman believed to be the kingpin of a burglary ring that targeted high profile celebrities was arrested in Las Vegas last Thursday on arrest warrants from California. RachelLee

Police say Lee can be seen on surveillance video burglarizing Lindsay Lohan’s posh California home. They also say she’s the mastermind behind several burglaries of Hollywood Hills homes, including celebrity vicitims Rachel Bilson and socialite, supreme LasVegas partier Paris Hilton. 

Las Vegas Metro Police found her at her father’s home on the northwest side of the valley. Police searched that house and found several items that were stolen from homes in Los Angeles, including high-end jeans and photographs of one of the victims. 

Lee is now facing charges in Las Vegas of possessing stolen property and charges of burglary in Los Angeles.

Lindsay Lohan coming to Las Vegas today

While Lindsay Lohan won’t turn 23 until July 2, the scandal-prone redhead plans to have a pre-B-day bash at Wet Republic in super-sunny Las Vegas this weekend. 

Lohan herself prefers to spray-tan instead of achieving an authentic sun-kissed glow – she does, after all, have her own line of tan-in-a-can, Sevin Nyne tanning mist.  Lilo, however, is planning to catch some rays Saturday afternoon at the MGM Grand out by the pool. 

Cake and Red Bull will also likely be served.

No word on whether or not her on-again/off-again DJ girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, will be joining her.

Lindsay Lohan Shuns Stripping, Outed by Prive Nightclub for Drinking in Las Vegas

Although Lindsay Lohan is reportedly not going to strip down and perform in the newly opened Peepshow at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas opposite Spice Girl Mel B, her behind-the-scenes boozing has been made public by bosses of a Las Vegas nightclub who claim to have seen the actress downing vodka. 

The Mean Girls star – who is newly-single after splitting from girlfriend Samantha Ronson – as been outed by management at Prive nightclub in the Planet Hollywood for drinking alcohol when she claims to be tee-toataling after several stints in rehab. 

According to TMZ, the nightclub released a statement saying:  “Mel [B] was drinking Merlot and Lindsay asked for a Vodka drink mixed with soda water and a splash of cranberry.” 

Lindsay lashed out at a reporter who quizzed her about her ongoing imbibing relationship with alcohol only last week, responding with: “I don’t drink…a**hole.” 

The actress attended rehab and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for alcohol and substance abuse in 2007.

Lindsay Lohan Spotted Shopping for Men in Las Vegas

Lindsay Lohan is apparently putting an end to her lady lovin’ ways and getting back on the straight and narrow. 

The “Mean Girl”- who was in Las Vegas last weekend – was spotted leaving several clubs with an unidentified man in tow only days after allegedly cozying up to Body of Lies megastar Leonardo DiCaprio in Hollywood.   lindsay-lohan

Lindsay also put in an appearance at the opening of Mel B’s new burlesque-style show opening, aptly titled Peep Show, where she reportedly proceeded to eye-up young, unsuspecting male prey. 

The actress told Mel she was “back on men”, after recently calling it a day with her lover of two years, DJ Samantha Ronson.  The couple ended their fiery romance over two weeks ago.

Lindsay Lohan Goes Bonkers in Las Vegas

lindsaylohan1With Paris Hilton’s 28th birthday celebration just this past Saturday, March 7 and all her zany friends and guests showing up at Body English nightclub in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, we at Las Vegas Backstage Access predicted it wouldn’t be long until her other buds would soon follow suit. 

We were right. 

Lindsay Lohan joined her girlfriend Samantha Ronson in the DJ booth at Prive nightclub at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas on March 9.   Later, Ronson was seen taking off in a car at the valet about 3:15 a.m. and a few moments later a “visibly upset” Lohan retrieved her car and took off racing after Ronson.  No other cars, thankfully, received any bruises. 

Now, for the hat-trick- we really need some kitchy Las Vegas antics from Britney Spears.  But who knows, maybe her Circus tour is tiring her out?
