Music producer Jermaine Dupri is reportedly on a quest to bring The Rat Pack era to Las Vegas. 
Dupri, Janet Jackson’s longtime main squeeze, wants to see Las Vegas return to the time when the coolest dudes in town wore tuxes and suits.
He has recruited Usher and Nelly into a group Dupri has dubbed “Ocean’s 7,” after the Rat Pack movie, “Ocean’s Eleven.”
“I want to see Vegas go back to what it was,” says Dupri.
Dupri, usually seen in public dressed in a white tuxedo with a black tie, and his crew has been the recent talk of the Las Vegas club scene, with their impromptu singing performances mirroring the Rat Pack.
Others in his elite group include music producer Bryan-Michael Cox, singer/songwriter Trey Songz and four-time Grammy winner Johnta Austin (the Sinatra of the group according to Dupri), and Tyrone Davis, Dupri’s personal assistant.
The idea came to Dupri earlier this year when he was producing Usher’s new album at the Palms recording studios in Las Vegas. That mix tape of the group has just come out at www.global14.com
Dupri has reportedly big plans for “Ocean’s 7” including an album, a movie and “the ultimate show in Vegas.”
