Playboy’s Playmate of the Year will be announced at the Palms Casino & Resort in Las Vegas for the second year in a row on May 15. This time it’s in the Rain nightclub instead of a ballroom and it’s open to the public.
Grammy winner Robin Thicke will perform and Pamela Anderson will be among those to receive an honor. Tickets: $38 general admission; $69 for floor seats.

Hugh Hefner, aka The Hef, will turn 84 this week, and now has one helluva 23-year-old “keeper” girlfriend to help celebrate his birthday in Las Vegas at the Playboy towers in the Palms Casino Resort.
“I am in a very good relationship with a young lady named Crystal Harris,” Hefner said, beaming. “She’s a keeper.”
Crystal Harris looks like many of the other women that Hefner has dated over the years. Harris appeared in the December 2009 issue of Playboy. To see Harris’ website, click here.
Hefner will celebrate his birthday on April 9, emphatically says, “I will defintitely not be celibate– I’ll be celebrating.”
Hefner found the nudie rich Playboy magazine in 1953 and has a reputation for dating several women at a time; though, when he was married for eight years, he emphasized monogamy.
“I’ve never thought in terms of quantity, but more in terms of quality.”
The Playboy King recently made news when he formally invited the President to the Playboy Mansion. No word if the Prez is considering.

Playboy Enterprises, Inc. has recently announced the launch of their global, year-long 50th anniversary celebration in honor of its iconic Playboy Bunny and world-famous Playboy Clubs. 
The company is marking the momentous occasion with commemorative merchandise and exclusive events around the world, including 50 Playboy Club parties in 50 cities, all held on one night; a uniquely-commissioned Playboy art exhibition at The Andy Warhol Museum; and newly designed Playboy apparel featured in some of the world’s top retailers.
Originally opening to the public on February 29, 1960 in Chicago, the Playboy Clubs quickly became the embodiment of sexy sophistication and one of the world’s most successful night club chains.
In 2006, the Bunnies returned, and Playboy reopened its famous Club at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
This year Playboy plans to open two additional multi-faceted entertainment venues in Miami and Cancun.
In its June 2010 issue, Playboy magazine will further celebrate the Playboy Clubs’ legacy, providing a sneak peek at the future of the famous nightclubs throughout the world. Special features will also appear on Playboy.com and Playboy Radio.
On June 10, Playboy will be hosting their global world’s sexiest party simulataneiously in 50 cities throughout the world, all held on the same night.
Fifty select nightlife venues–in domestic and international cities including Las Vegas, Miami, Cancun, London, Hong Kong, San Diego, Chicago and Johannesburg–will open their doors as “Playboy Clubs” for one night only to celebrate the momentous occasion. Embodying Las Vegas craziness, decadence and adult strip club allure, the new Playboy TV reality show King of Clubs is filmed in Las Vegas at the legendary Palomino Club, the venue’s second foray into adult TV (the first being the humorous lap top dance/quiz program Show Us Your Wits.)
The show follows the Gentile family as they take over the only strip joint in town with a full-nude license and a full bar, plus dancers who are as young as 18. But this show is not just merely a half-hour’s worth of lap dances and nudity on the small screen.
King of Clubs premiered on September 25, and though sexuality is a strong component of each episode, it’s easy for the viewer to become wrapped up in the stories of the individuals involved in the night-to-night operations of the Palomino Club.
The family running the club presents an interesting dynamic, but also that the show reveals that strippers aren’t as dumb as tacks, the prevailing stereotype.
If you don’t subscribe to Playboy TV, no sweat. Las Vegas locals and military are always free at the Palomino Club and they’re considering adding the channel to their cable package just to get the show.
And even if you aren’t intrigued by the business side of King of Clubs, there’s plenty of titillating content. One upcoming episode, for example, features “Design a Vagina” night, complete with a naked backstage cat fight.

Las Vegas is everything kitchy.
Las Vegas needs tourism money- lots of it. 
Yesterday, proving both tenets, a parade of 281 bikini-clad women seductively strutted their wares in the hot Las Vegas sun, setting a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest bikini parade.
Parading on the Las Vegas Strip, from Wynn resort to the Fashion Show mall, the entourage of beauties was led by Playboy plaything personality and former No. 1 Hugh Hefner flame Holly Madison, flanked by two Jublilee! bedecked dancers, decreeing that “summer in paradise” in Las Vegas has started a month earlier.
“Only in Las Vegas could this take place,” said Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, who was joined in proclaiming the beginning of summer by Clark County Commisioner Larry Brown at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign – the 50th anniversary of the sign – on the south end of the Strip.
Participants were paid $100 and got to keep their bikinis, which were provided by various Las Vegas retailers at the mall. The women also got a pass to one of several Strip pool parties.
The “Summer in Paradise” branded parade, which coincided with the beginning of the Las Vegas pool scene season and National Tourism Week, cost the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority about $100,000. The parade might become an annual event.
Hopefully, the sizzling event will help to boost sagging Las Vegas tourism. In March, visitor volume was down 6.5 percent compared to the previous year. The average daily room rate was down 31.6 percent, and convention attendance was down 30 percent. Gaming revenue dropped 12.3 percent on the Strip and 9.8 percent in the county overall.

Hugh Hefner’s former No. 1 squeeze, who now provides almost daily eye-candy photo ops in Las Vegas, will reportedly co-star opposite former Spice Girl Mel B in the adult cabaret “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas. The
show has recently converted its format and is largely topless.
Madison is replacing Kelly Monaco, who never planned to go beyond her three-month contract.
Yesterday, Madison lead the pack in the world’s largest bikini parade in Las Vegas – 281 bikini-clad women set a world record, according to a Guiness World Records represenataive, parading on the Strip from the Wynn resort to Fashion Show mall.

Tonight fur of the fluffy white kind is going to fly in Las Vegas: Playboy is announcing their Playmate of the Year at
Simon Restaurant at Palms Place. The guy with the most Viagra in the world, Hugh Hefner, will be there, along with his Playmates from the past 55 years- a total of 68 beauties.
Leading Las Vegas Backstage Access to question if Hef can clearly remember what happened that far back? Is a bunny tail by any other name, still a bunny?
The host of the sensual foray is Brande Roderick (pictured) of “Celebrity Apprentice” and 2001’s Playmate of the Year at the invitation-only event.
It’s quite an honor for the City of Excess, as it marks the first time the event has been held outside the Playboy Mansion.

Playboy’s May edition will include Las Vegas native Alicia Taylor,37, in their “Women of Wall Street” spread on page 40, curled up next to an Investor’s Business Daily and a pillow.
The Rancho High School homecoming queen and UNLV business management graduate is also in the running for the new Bravo TV series, “Real Housewives of Las Vegas.”
Taylor, a self-made multimillionarie, married her high school sweetheart and has worked in the lending and finance industry for almost 20 years, founding Mortgage Solutions LLC in 2004.

Hugh Hefner will be prancing around all this weekend in his aged red robe all over the Palms Casino in Las Vegas celebrating his 83rd birthday.
There’s a Palms Place pool party scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 4 at the Playboy Club & Moon Nightclub.
And there is great potential for some memorable catfights, as Hef’s “old” flame, Holly Madison (and, recently, Criss Angel’s ex), is reportedly joining her “Girls Next Door” gal pals, Kendra and Bridget. During this fray, Hef will meticulously grooming their replacements with tender loving care: Crystal Harris and 19-year-old twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon.
